“Thank God for books and music and things I can think about.”
Daniel Keyes, Flowers for Algernon

It’s been quite the last week for me. I got laid off last week. Turns out the winter holidays is not a great time to get out and start submitting resumes. Trying to fill my free time in my workshop. I’m thankful I had gotten that all set up before this happened so I had a place to go for respite.

Some stuff I’ve loved online

Cassidy Williams - A super inspiring online presence/technologist/writer/coder that’s worth a follow

I always make an effort to visit a bunch of “spooky” horror-themed or just weird movies during October. I thought I’d take a moment and go over my favorites.

Color Out of Space - Based on a H.P. Lovecraft story, this is a real vibes movie. Great visuals, and really unsettling this really creates a good sense of unease.

Uzumaki - This is a mini-series that is based on a Japanese Manga about a small town where holes start appearing in everything. The visuals are really messed up(as particularly depicted by the cover image) but the story gets a little convoluted near the end.

Hellraiser(2022) - I didn’t love this, but the Cenobites alien design is worth watching it.

Thanks for reading!
