We bought a new car this week! That took a ton of my time up because doing anything with a kid seems like it is 3x harder then it normally would be. It’s our first EV so we’re doing a lot of learning the ins and outs about EV life. We’ll be taking it camping soon which will give us a chance to test out its size and handling everything for a trip.

I just finished up watching Murderbot, the Sci-Fi series on Apple TV+. Based on the popular series by Martha Wells. I liked the books ok, but found this show to be quite enjoyable. I’ve become a big fan of the half-hour episode length, and coupled with a blend of comedy and drama this is positioned to be a great sci fi show to add to the pantheon of great shows. With genre fiction growing in popularity and effects becoming more affordable and easier to look good, we’re really living in a golden age of science fiction television. A lot of shows are quick to market with decent effects and casting, but the scripts have been lacking. Murderbot maintained a quippy episode with ok action, and the short runtime made it bingeably watch able. I’m not sure it will end up on my top shows of 2025, but still pretty fun nonetheless
