New letter newsletter

I’m reigniting my experiment of getting a semi-regular newsletter spun up again. This, in addition, to updating kmartinix.com regularly means I can hone my ability to write and express myself more regularly. So keep an eye here!

I’m hoping to start sending these out biweekly with a short update and then talk about something I’ve seen/read/experienced lately. So lets go!

I don’t even know how to begin to talk about this movie. As an longtime fan of Yorgos Lanthimos, I’m very accustomed to how he explores themes in his works, but this was a bit obtuse for even me at times. That is part of the draw for these movies; the sitting in the uncomfortableness and processing the themes of humanity are what makes Lanthimos such a draw for me. Kinds of Kindness, however, stretched me in ways I’m not sure I fully comprehend.
