“Logic and truth are two very different things, but they often look the same to the mind that’s performing the logic.”
― Theodore Sturgeon, More Than Human

Every Sunday my wife and I sit down for our “family meeting.” Its essentially a set time we always have to do meal planning, go over our schedule, finances, and other things of import for the week. One of the major parts of it is planning our House Projects™️ that seems to be a neverending series of tasks required in maintaining a house. Lately a big struggle has been getting things across the finish line. I really want to totally finish project A before we move onto project B, but that’s hard when Project A is finishing a dark basement and project B is working in the sunshine getting some landscaping done. It’s the classic dark vs light struggle you have heard throughout time.
But we’re really close to finishing that basement

Hokum! This movie is very scary and best seen in a packed theater. I don’t usually seek out scary movies(though every Halloween I’ll dip into some spooky things) but this looked interesting and I’m so glad I saw it! There’s some interesting introspective moments that I think all good horror(genre films in general) need to make a good story, and the actual horror moments all work really well. Plus its set in a haunted irish hotel which is always a great setting.

Thanks for reading!
